I already have a Principal Supervisor. Can you offer Secondary Supervision?
Absolutely. All our supervisors are can provide secondary supervision. We can offer both individual and group sessions, on a regular or ad hoc basis, to suit your individual needs.

I already have a supervision plan in place with a principal and secondary supervisor but would like to access some of your groups. Can I count these towards my supervision hours?
Yes, all our groups are run by Board-Approved Supervisors and have a maximum of five participants, so the hours can count as group supervision. You simply write a letter to AHPRA stating that you wish to add an additional secondary supervisor to your current supervised practice plan. We can provide you with a letter template to facilitate this process.
I am completing a 4+2 internship. My supervisor doesn’t have access to psychometric tests, and these are not available at my workplace. Can you help me tick off the psychometric assessment competency?
Yes, we can. All our personality testing groups provide administration, scoring and interpretation guidelines, and all the necessary materials to meet competency, however some additional tasks may be required once you have completed the groups so your supervisor can assess competence. We can also assess competence, by arrangement, through secondary supervision. For cognitive and memory assessments, training is also offered online. We currently offer training in the WISC-V, WAIS-IV and WMS-IV and we can also assist you to meet competency in these assessments if you do not have access to these tests through your supervisor or workplace.
Can I access a Principal or Secondary Supervisor in a different state?
Yes, supervision via videoconferencing counts as face to face, so your supervisor can be located anywhere in Australia.
Can you provide all my supervision requirements?
Yes, we can meet all your supervision needs. Mind Connection can provide you with a Principal and Secondary Supervisor, access to both individual and group supervision and training in psychometric testing. We recommend a combination of individual and group sessions as this not only helps to keep costs down but also provides the opportunity to connect with, and gain support from, other provisional psychologists.
If I enter into an agreement with Mind Connection, can I adjust my supervision requirements if my existing arrangements change?
Of course! Our services are designed to be flexible, so you access only what you need. For example, if your workplace does not provide supervision you might start by accessing all your supervision through Mind Connection. If you change jobs and your new employer offers you secondary supervision for 2 hours per month you would simply reduce your supervision hours with Mind Connection by 2 hours per month.
Can you offer after hours appointments?
Mind Connection can offer individual and group sessions during office hours, in the evenings and at weekends. This depends on supervisor availability, but we always do our best to find a mutually convenient time to meet.
How much does it cost to access supervision through Mind Connection?
Please refer to our fees page for all pricing. There are no upfront payments or lock-in contracts, and you access only what you need.
